Competition Details
Everything You Need to Know
Eligibility
- Open to Standard 2 and Standard 3 students attending a Ministry of Education certified primary school.
- Entries must be individual.
- Students must earn at least 500 Science Portal points before the competition closes.
Competition Period
- Starts Monday, 21 September 2026.
- Entries close Sunday, 1 November 2026.
- Late entries will not be accepted.
Project Requirements
- Choose one of the 15 challenge ideas.
- Make the project your own.
- Models, inventions, experiments and demonstrations are encouraged.
Video Submission
- Clearly show your project.
- Explain the science behind it.
- Explain how it works and what makes your version unique.
- Video must be 5 minutes or less.
- Submit your video (login required).
Safety First
Projects involving dangerous materials, open flames, hazardous chemicals or unsafe procedures should not be submitted.
